A Georgian mansion in Shropshire – Delbury Hall

What a busy weekend I have had getting together with friends and family, I am actually exhausted and need the weekend back again please, shame you can’t go back in time. But then in a way it’s probably a good thing as I probably wouldn’t have done this blog today.
Now as you know Monday is always about wedding venues and I like to pick a different location every week and today we are off to Shropshire.
Did you know that Shropshire was voted one of the most picturesque counties in Britain, I never knew that and I doubt a lot of my readers will have known that either but its true. Visitors are often delighted at the choice of activities available in Shropshire. Steeped in history and culture, tourists come here to see the country’s incredible past.
As we are here about wedding venues this little beauty is just perfect and obviously in Shropshire, so would you like to know the venue I have chosen?

Night View

Well of course it has to be Delbury Hall and why have I chosen this venue, well follow me and I will tell all.

Delbury Hall

Delbury Hall is situated in rural Shropshire and is considered to be one of the most if not the most magnificent wedding venues in the area. The house itself is a beautiful Georgian mansion with 80 acres of landscape, just perfect for all your wedding pictures and many couples choose to get married in the Main Hall, which I don’t blame them as it is gorgeous and then after the ceremony they can step out into the perfect manicured gardens for reception drinks and group photos before the married couple slopes off to discover more of the grounds and some more secluded places for romantic photos just of them.

Delbury Hall
Many couples will be taking advantage of this amazing venue by getting married in the summer and who would blame them, just imagine enjoying the picturesque landscape by have the ceremony under the wedding pagoda were nearby is a gorgeous lake, I’m telling you your guests will love it.
At Delbury Hall they pride themselves in offering contemporary facilities and an exceptional dining experience for the discerning couple. With that in mind, the original Coach House was converted and renovated in 2007 and is now entirely dedicated to wedding ceremonies and celebrations. With the views over the grounds on one side, and over to the Courtyard and Stables on the other, this light and airy space features original beams, full height bi-fold doors and a neutral colour palette. An elegant glass balconied mezzanine is the chosen setting for many ceremonies, while dining takes place on the ground floor.

Outside ceremony
Delbury Hall uses an external catering company called Ludlow Catering Company and then make sure that each wedding ensures the dinning experience that will be memorable for all the right reasons. From canapés on the lawn to fine dining in the Coach House and an evening hog roast in the Courtyard, we know you and your guests will be treated to the very best.
Its not over yet as the day closes they offer a 10 bedrooms to accommodate up to 22 gusts in the converted stables and every room is just a few steps away from the courtyard and Coach House and features lovely crisp white linen and elegant furnishing, just want you want to wake up for after a long day of celebrations.

Ok that is enough of me jabbering on but I hope you think that Delbury Hall is a wedding venue you would consider if you were to get married in Shropshire, I know I would. The ambience and the staff are so relaxed and friendly you couldn’t chose a more perfect venue to host your special day and on that note I will bid you all a good day and hope you will visit again for my next wedding venue location.
Bye for now
